If you didn’t tune in on Saturday night into Sunday morning for Saturday Night Live you missed history in the making. Betty White finally hosted SNL at the tender age of 88 after being asked each decade (70’s, 80’s, 90’s) from show producer Lorne Michaels. Not only was this blue hair spry, she was hilarious. With a record-breaking SNL tune-in of best tune-in in over 18 months! So many of the former female cast-members came back
to do skits with Betty including Tina Fey, Maya Rudoph , Rachel Dratch and Amy Poehler. If these cast-members were on more, I would tune-in more. The magic is lacking in most of the current players, but not all of them.
The skit gone big screen MACGRUBER had White as the grandma of the hero and was it funny! Until he asked her to marry her in the third skit, yeah…that was kind of creepy.
There are even a few pre-recorded sketches that never aired because they ran out of time! Did you hear the shot-out that [lastfm]Jay-Z [/lastfm]gave her after his second performance and the bunches of flowers they piled on her at the end? There was a lot of love in that room, and I’m just glad I got to see it when it aired, great history for Miss Betty! Now how to I get her agent to be cast in a Snickers commercial and go big time??
Here are my two favorite skits. I feel sorry for door-to-door census takers and by the way it’s the Wizard of A$$! LOL. We love you Betty!
