Just when we thought the Oscar nominated Anne Hathaway was making news starring as Kurt’s lesbian aunt on the hit television series, “Glee,” she cast one of the biggest roles of a lifetime. Get ready to see Hathaway dressed in leather and being bad.
Warner Bros. Pictures announced Wednesday morning that Hathaway will be starring next to Chistian Bale in the newest Batman franchise installment, The Dark Knight Rises, the third Batman movie directed by Christopher Nolan. Nolan says “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”
Hathaway plays the nemesis Selina Kyle, with secrety identity Catwoman, alongside Tom Hardy who has taken on the role of Bane, a muscular bad guy powered by an addictive drug called Venom.
The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released in July of 2012
