You know there’s drama ahead when you hear, “it all started on Facebook…” Well guess what, it did! So what happened when a college student took a picture and put the lyrics to one of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Big Sean[/lastfm]’s songs featuring [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown [/lastfm]called ‘My Last’ underneath? Well, her softball coach had her scholarship taken away!
19 year old student Caitlin Ortiz posted a pic on her Facbook page with the lyrics, “andd imm a put this drink uppp like it’s my lastt.” After that pic was posted her Athletic Director and softball coach from Molloy College in New York saw it and was upset. According to Caitlin, she lost her scholarship after the director/coach said she posted ”thug like comments.”
Sorry, I don’t picture Chris Brown anywhere close to a “thug!” Now, Caitlin is suing the college for discrimination. The Director/Coach said it’s not discrimination, she just didn’t want recruiters to think the school’s softball team was “full of thugs.”
This case is far from over! What do you think? Should the student be punished for anything she posts on Facebook? Was the Director/Coach out of line for taking away her scholarship?
