[photogallerylink id=108234] We’ve heard about major companies paying huge salaries to celebrities to use their products. Everyone from athletes, musicians and yes… even reality stars. One certain star is getting asked to STOP wearing their brand! I’m talking about Abercrombie & Fitch telling Mike‘The Situation’ Torrentino, to stay far away from their clothes and wearing them in public or on Jersey Shore! Oh and they even wanna extend the offer to the rest of the cast!
So how does it get to the point where a company is tired of seeing you use their brand?? Leave it to Jersey Shore’s Situation right???
Well, Abercrombie & Fitch says:
”We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand, could cause significant damage to our brand. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes only, but, we believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.
We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s Jersey Shore to have the character to wear an alternete brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently awaiting their response.”
What!!! Really??? I don’t know anyone who is traumatized over seeing ‘The Situation’ wearing their clothes at the club or during an episode of Jersey Shore? LOL–
At one time last year, Abercrombie & Fitch liked ‘The Situation’ because they even came up with a shirt called the ’Fitchuation.’ ‘
The Situation’ was asked about that shirt from last year and he said, “‘The Situation’–my name, or my character is known world-wide now. Abercrombie & Fitch, the told me their most popular shirt was the ‘Fitchuation.’ I mean, where did they get that from. Obviously me.”
What do you think of the clothing company’s offer? Do you think anyone of the cast members will take them up on their offer?
