[photogallerylink id=167340] It’s all anyone could talk about the last few weeks! [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kim Kardashian [/lastfm]& [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kris Humphries [/lastfm]wedding that finally happened last night! Congrats to the happy couple who were married in front of 450 of their closest friends in Montecito Californina. We knew it was going to be a big celebrity event but what we didn’t know was all the little wedding details. Why wait till October when the E! Channel will air part of the wedding, let me tell you what I found out about the big night…
Let’s start out with the programs that were handed out. They featured a tribute to Kris’ grandparents who had passed away and Kim’s dad. Kim’s message read: “I so wish my Dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you Dad.”
So one of the biggest secrets kept for the big day was Kim’s wedding dress. No one say it until she walked down the aisle by her step-dad, Bruce Jenner.
Check out the first pic here!
Her dress was a Vera Wang gown that was strapless with lace on the bodice and train. She didnt’ wear the veil over her face but had it on and flowed down her gown. She wore a diamond headpiece that had diamonds that dripped on to her forehead. Kim walked down the aisle with a bouquet of white roses. Those roses were said to be everywhere at the recepetion too since it was a black and white theme. Oh, I can’t forget about Kris. The groom wore a white tuxedo jacket and tie from Ermeneglido Zegna.
As helicopters flew over head trying to get the money shot, the guest didn’t have to worry about not hearing the vows, the couple wore mics.
All in all, no detail was left out. From the runner on the ground with the K & K monogram in black, to the Pastor who married them. He has known Kris since he was a kid. He even told the crowd as Kim and Kris met each other at the alter, “This is not just a mere wedding event.” He wanted to remind the couple that it’s not just about the wedding day, but about the marriage and commitment. He also shared how he asked each of them to write down the thing they loved most about the other. Kim wrote how she loves that he’s the “yin to her yang”, brings calm to her life, appreciates the trust he gives her and brings the fun out of her. Kris said the he love how Kim lives everyday like it’s her last, he loves her compassion and how when they first met you could tell her love for her family.
The matron and maid of honor duties of course went to Khloe and Kourtney who wore ivory bridesmaids dresses. The ring bearer was Kim’s nephew Mason. Everyone at the wedding held their breath as Kourtney was carrying Mason down the aisle and almost fell. I’m sure we’ll see that on the E! Channel. LOL–
Even though I’m sure it was Kim’s friends and family making up the 450 guests, Kris had his share of people there to see him too! His team-mates from the New Jersey Nets were given the thumbs up to come to the wedding. Since there’s an NBA lock-out going on, there are rules about team-mates hanging out together. Luckily the NBA let them be there at the wedding, afterall it was his team mate Jordan Farmar that introduced them to each other!
Now to the cake: It was a 6 foot tall cake that was taller than Kim herself. It looked a lot like Prince William and Kate Middleton’s cake that Kim loved so much! I’m sure we’ll get more details as the days go on. On Friday, People magazine will have the first official pictures for everyone to see.
Congrats to Kim and Kris!!! They aren’t going on a honey-moon just yet, but we know they are going to have plenty of time to celebrate each other and act like crazy in love newlyweds!
Are you looking forward to seeing pics from the wedding?
