She had her own Nickelodeon tv show and was on the cover of every teen magazine. Then… she got pregnant. She disappeared for a minute, but now she’s back! She sat down with Glamour to talk about teen pregancy, what she’s been up to and to gush about her daughter Maddie who loves dancing to Aunt Britney’s songs!

In 2007, Jamie was 16 years old and pregnant. Now she’s 20 years old and is talking about it all. Jamie said, “I was a kid who did a kid show. Then I went away to raise my child, and the world has never met me as an adult. Do people have an idea of they think I am? Yes, and that’s fine with me.” Sounds pretty grown up to me!

When she was asked why she went to OK! Magazine and gave them her story of being pregnant, she didn’t shy away. Jamie added, “I knew I had to give an explanation to my fans, and I wanted it to be in my words first…I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mother who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But, I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. I hated when [tabloids] said that.” That issue of the magazine is still listed as one of their top selling EVER!
