Yoda,  who was crowned the World’s Ugliest Dog in 2011, died in her sleep on Saturday. Find out more about her and see some pics!

Yoda was a 15 year old Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix and she will keep her title as the ugliest dog until a new one is crowned at the 2012 Sonoma Marina Fair.

Her owner, Terry Schumaker, says:

I will miss her funny little ways! But comforted by knowing she will be joining Mom and Dad, who loved her so much! Her memories will live on forever!!!”

According to the contest’s website, Schumacher’s daughter found her prize-winning pup in a field when she was 2 years old and she told her to put it down because she thought it was a rat!
