The teasing continues as Justin Bieber releases a third preview clip for his “Boyfriend” music video. If you were hoping to get a sense of what the video is actually about, you won’t find it here. Bieber isn’t one to reveal everything at once.
In the latest 14 second sneak peek, Justin channels Michael Jackson as he stands in the shadows snapping his fingers in front of the moon. There’s also a mysterious booming speaker and Bieber whispering seductively into a girl’s ear. It all looks cool but what exactly does Bieber have up his sleeve?
We’re not sure, however, you can already tell this is definitely a Bieber we haven’t seen before. His entire vibe is clearly more mature. “I think people are going to be really surprised,” comments Bieber about the video.
“I think people are going to be really happy [with the video] and … I think it’s going to make people like the song more,” Bieber tells MTV News about the Colin Tilley directed clip. The single sold a whopping 520,000 downloads in its first week and placed Bieber in the #2 slot for all-time first-week singles sales behind Flo Rida’s “Right Round.”
With a mega hit already under his belt there are high hopes for the rest of the album. Bieber is slowly starting to spill details about his highly anticipated Believe. The 18-year-old and Usher announced via Twitter that they have teamed up for not one but two songs. One of these tracks will appear on the Bieber’s album and the other will be part of Usher’s June 12th release “Looking For Myself.”
Justin isn’t holding anything back on this album. “Here making music addressing the past and the rumors, clearing it all up in the music. I’m putting it all out there on this album. #BELIEVE,” he tweeted recently.
Justin Bieber’s Believe drops later this year. For now keep your eyes peeled for the full “Boyfriend” music video which is expected to be released soon.
