‘The Lego Movie’ Tops Box Office For Third Week In A Row

Neither a Volcano disaster movie nor Kevin Costner could topple the animated feature “The Lego Movie” from the top slot in the weekend box office.

“The Lego Movie,” this year’s highest grossing film, raked in an additional $31.5 million according to studio estimates Sunday. The 3-D feature voiced by Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, and Morgan Freeman, has earned a domestic total of $183 million.

Relativity Media’s “3 Days to Kill” with Kevin Costner took the second slot earning an estimated $12.3 million and Sony’s “Pompeii” finished third taking a disappointing $10 million at the box office. The “RoboCop” reboot and George Clooney’s “The Monuments Men” rounded out the top 5.
