Snoop Dogg, MC Hammer, Joe Montana To Host SF Benefit For Gun Control Campaign Today

By Alyssa Pereira

Entertainment heavyweights and sports icons are banding together for “No Guns Allowed,” a non-partisan anti-gun violence campaign and partnership between Snoop Dogg and the League of Young Voters. The campaign is holding an event today in SoMa in San Francisco, aiming to raise awareness about gun violence. It was inspired by Snoop’s single (of the same name) off his recent album, Reincarnated.

Snoop will be in attendance, as well as Joe Montana, founder Ron Conway, former Mayor Willie Brown, MC Hammer, Ronnie Lott, swimmer Diana Nyad, and Dr. Robert “Biko” Baker, the Executive Director of the League of Young Voters Education fund, with whom Snoop is primarily partnering with for this event.

Snoop Lion, or Dogg (whichever you call him) will hold a silent auction of his paintings and other items to benefit the initiative, as well as his Youth Football League, which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this fall.

“No Guns Allowed” by Snoop features Drake and Snoop’s daughter Cori B, and addresses the issues surrounding gun violence.
