National Doughnut Day, Friday June 6
June 6th is the first Friday of June, which means it is National Doughnut Day!
The event was created after the Doughnut Day by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to World War I soldiers.
In honor of the annual occasion, many people will go out to get their donut fix at their favorite donut shop. (Don’t worry, we have our favorites too!) The following are some donut shops that are celebrating National Doughnut Day with specials for their customers.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts- Bay Area locations in Concord, Daly City, Fremont, Mountain View, Pinole and Union City @krispykreme (One free donut on National Doughnut Day, no purchase necessary)
