Snoop Dogg Apparently Thinks ‘Game Of Thrones’ Actually Happened

The sweeping backdrops and gory fighting scenes in HBO’s hit show “Game of Thrones” certainly seem real, thanks to all the CGI and special effects, but pretty much everyone is aware that the epic is actually just the creation of a skilled fantasy novelist.

Well…all but at least one.

After taking part in the official HBO “Game of Thrones” mixtape, Snoop has proven he is a big fan of the series, saying, “It’s like the rap game, it’s gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top. I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it.”

However, it’s beginning to look like the way Snoop sees it might actually be a little misguided.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, the rapper made some curious comments about “Game Of Thrones,” leading the interviewer and everyone reading the article to draw the conclusion that Snoop might actually think that the events in Westeros are based in literal facts. After being asked about his interest in the show, he had an odd answer. “I watch it for historic reasons, to try to understand what this world was based on before I got here,” the rapper said. “I like to know how we got from there, to here, and the similarities between then and now.”

This left the interviewer a little baffled, obviously, so he pressed on, asking Snoop, “What parallels have you drawn between this fictional TV show, and the modern world?”

“That kings still rule…”

Guess that’s true-ish, even if the reasoning is murky. Just in case, maybe stay away from teaching any history classes, Snoop.
