SAN JOSE (99.7 NOW!) — Sort of a water slide equivalent to a color run, this summer the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds will be welcoming Blacklight Slide™ for an evening of neon-colored water slide fun with a thumping electronic soundtrack.
Attendees get unlimited trips on inner tubes down an up to 500-foot-long water slide that will filled with neon dyes and lit overhead with black lights, making for an explosively colorful experience. The event also features popular DJs spinning music during the event and at the official after party that participants get free admission to following the Blacklight Slide™.
The party also serves as a fundraiser with some money from admission getting directed to a local charity. Attendees will also receive a glow-in-the-dark tattoo and a special edition Blacklight Slide™ towel. The slides require inner tubes or some sort of inflatable for users to ride down on. Attendees can bring their own or buy tubes on site.
While the event isn’t happening until July 23, organizers are currently advertising a special $20 admission price that ends January 13. After that date, all tickets will go up to $50. You can get more information about the San Jose event at the official website.
