The Green Cup is not the Starbucks Holiday cup it is all about Election Season.
“During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other,” said Howard Schultz, Starbucks’ Chairman and CEO, in a press release.
The artwork, created by Shogo Ota, depicts a “mosaic of more than a hundred people drawn in one continuous stroke.”
Regardless of Starbucks’ best intentions (and the fact that the classic red holiday cup is coming soon), the internet has exploded on the subject.
